Below are some frequently asked questions and answers.
FAQ’S
Do you build on our land?
Yes, we do. Whether your land is ready to build or you need us to install a driveway, all utilities, and a septic system, we handle every aspect.
Do you have house plans or do I need to provide them?
We have plans from prior builds as well as an in-house architect that can work with you on putting your ideas into place and offering suggestions as needed.
What information would you need to give me a price to build?
We need to know the approximate location, approximate square footage or at minimum the number of bedrooms and bathrooms needed.
We need to know if the property has existing utilities and if it will be city sewage or septic. You do not need to know your exact choices on design and exact floorings and fixtures, but you do need to have decided if you want mid-grade items or something higher-end.
This helps get us closer on cost.
Do I get to pick out all of my paint colors, fixtures, flooring and doors?
Yes, we give you an allowance for these items and several others.
What is the number one thing you tell people beginning to build?
We have two things actually.
Husbands and wives and sometimes just individuals, we find ourselves always reminding our clients to keep this process fun. Building a home can be so stressful. All these choices of what to do and what to pick out. So know that this is going to be a great experience and let us take on those weights and help you. You have found a builder that cares about this.
The next thing we always say is to each person, make a list of the following: The things that are not negotiable, meaning things you will not settle without. As an example, you may say you have to have a certain amount of bedrooms or you must have a certain type of tile and it’s not even an option for something else. Make a list of things you’d prefer if they can stay within your budget and then maybe a couple of items that you want be may not take as seriously. This helps couples prepare ahead.
